Dual diagnosis, also known as co-occurring disorder, is when a person is suffering from substance abuse and a simultaneous mood disorder such as depression, bipolar, panic or anxiety, disorders. The most effective form of treatment for these conditions is treating both of the conditions at the same time. This is very important in the dual diagnosis treatment process.
Most chemically dependent people and those with mental disorders want to feel strong and empowered. Other programs teach surrender and powerlessness as a way of life. At Quality Behavioral Health, Inc., our treatment will include empowering the client and enabling them with strength to make good healthy choices in their lives.
Women’s Specialty Services
The women’s treatment program focuses on the unique needs of women in recovery. We realize that women have special needs and design programs for that purpose. At Quality Behavioral Health, Inc., we ensure that the special needs of women are met by providing all women recovery groups. By enabling specialty services, women feel safer and are eager in successfully completing the program.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on the patient’s thought process. Have you ever done something and in return someone has said to you, “What were you thinking?” CBT helps to strengthen your thought process so that question will no longer exist.
At Quality Behavioral Health, Inc., we also use Motivation Enhanced Therapy (MET) in conjunction with CBT. We use MET to move our patients along a path of recovery we call stages of behavioral change.
Quality Behavioral Health, Inc., has an in-house pharmacy. This ensures that medications are filled immediately. We also offer post-care delivery services wherein medications can be bubble packed for the patients to take following their discharge or delivered at their specified address.

Electronic Medical Records
The future of health care is to adopt a better, safe care for every patient enrolled in our programs. The best way to implement safety and care for our patients is by having computerized orders and a medication scanning system that electronically checks to make sure the correct patient is receiving the correct medical care.
At Quality Behavioral Health, Inc., all medical records are electronic and are saved on a web-based server so that medical records are secured and cannot be misplaced. Our priority is the patients’ safety and care and by applying an Electronic Medical Record system we can provide the best care and stay for our patients.
Support Group for PTSD
Post traumatic Stress Disorder is an anxiety disorder that can occur following an experience or witnessing a traumatic event. The support group is led by a mental health professional and involves groups of four (4) to twelve (12) people with similar issues to talk about. Talking to other survivors of trauma can be a helpful step in your recovery. It helps with resolving your feelings, gaining confidence in coping with your memories and finding comfort in knowing you’re not alone.
In affiliation with the Hospital and Institutions Department of Narcotics Anonymous and in association with Alcoholics Anonymous, QBH hosts closed meetings on the premises. QBH also transports patients to various other locations for support group meetings.
Transportation is provided for various activities, medical and dental appointments and other scheduled events.
QBH medical staff will work closely with your Primary Care Physician (PCP) while you’re in treatment to ensure optimum care. If you do not have a PCP, you may be referred to the local health department or to the “Health care for the Homeless” known as Advantage Health Care — a local agency that serves the uninsured.
QBH has collaborative agreements with various dental clinics where our medical staff will refer you to should you require dental services.
QBH will transport residential patients to various supermarkets to purchase permitted items that QBH does not supply, for personal use while in treatment.

QBH employs a Registered Dietician who approves all meals. Any dietary concerns or special requests will be reviewed with the Dietician who will customize a meal plan for you; which, the kitchen staff will prepare for your dietary needs.
All programs have a free laundry facility. Detox patients; however, may not do their personal laundry until they have transitioned into either the residential or outpatient program.
QBH takes all the residential patients out for various recreational activities. You may bring your swimsuit and/or workout clothes if you choose to participate. We also go to Belle Isle Park for walks, groups, and picnics.
We value family involvement as an essential part of your treatment and we encourage you to involve your family or friends who would be supportive to your recovery.
Visitation is not allowed during detoxification. Visitation is only allowed in the residential programs. A list of requested visitors must be presented to your counselor for approval. Visits are scheduled by appointment only. Your counselor also has the option to set visitation times. QBH reserves the right to remove visitors if they become disruptive, intoxicated or threatening.
We value spirituality as a major component in the recovery process. We have arrangements with various religious groups that provide services to our patients as needed.
